Deflazacort is used for the treatment of a serious form of asthma and rheumatoid arthritis. It works by reducing inflammation and allergy and modifying the response of the immune system. Deflazacort belongs to a group of medicines called corticosteroids (steroids). It is available in the form of tablet, capsule, injection, syrup, suspension and oral liquid.
